Michael Eric Dyson, distinguished university professor at Vanderbilt University and bestselling author, discusses his latest book, “Dr. King for the 21st Century.” Dyson will explore Dr. King’s radical legacy and its pressing relevance to today’s issues of race, economics, and justice.

Dyson holds a doctorate in religion from Princeton University and teaches in African American and Diaspora Studies and in the Divinity School at Vanderbilt. He has taught at Brown University, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and other leading institutions. He is the author of more than 25 books, including seven “New York Times” bestsellers, and has received honors such as the Langston Hughes Medal, the American Book Award and NAACP Image Awards.
